Who this is for
A good fit
- Couples who want to be inside Shibuya rather than a train ride away — this is a two-person apartment first
- Four or five friends who would rather be squeezed into one room than pay Shibuya hotel prices for two or three — it is tight, and we say so, but per person it is about as cheap as a bed four minutes from Shibuya Station gets
- Two adults plus one on the sofa bed, or two adults with a child or two
- Travellers who would rather have their own front door, kitchenette and bathroom than a business-hotel room at a similar price
- Short city trips built around Shibuya, Harajuku and Shinjuku, where being able to walk back and drop your bags mid-afternoon actually changes the day
- Late finishers — the bars and restaurants are downstairs, so there is no last train to catch

The apartment is unit 306, on the 3rd floor of Lions Mansion Dogenzaka — a red-brick residential building on a Dogenzaka backstreet, with a lift from the ground-floor entrance hall. Only this one apartment is ours; the rest of the building is other people's homes, so the building asks for quiet between 21:00 and 09:00, and shoes come off at the door.

Dogenzaka: you are already there
The apartment sits on a backstreet off Dogenzaka, four minutes on foot from Shibuya Station — the listing and the host's own arrival notes both put it at three to four minutes, and Booking.com measures the station at 600 m. The Shibuya Scramble Crossing and Hachiko are about a five-minute walk; Shibuya Sky is 700 m and Yoyogi Park about 1.7 km. From Shibuya Station the Yamanote Line reaches Harajuku in about 2 minutes, Shinjuku in about 6 and Tokyo Station in about 25.
Be clear-eyed about what that closeness means. Dogenzaka is Shibuya's entertainment district, and the listing says so directly: outside noise carries, and evenings here are lively. That is the trade. If you want to walk home from dinner at midnight and drop your bags between plans, it is close to unbeatable. If you want silence after 22:00, this is the wrong apartment and we would rather you knew now.
Getting here from the airports
- Haneda (HND): about 45 minutes by train to Shibuya Station; about 16 km away — the closest of the two, with one change en route.
- Narita (NRT): about 80 minutes by train to Shibuya Station; about 72 km away; the Narita Express runs into Shibuya, and the host can also arrange a private car.

The apartment is on the 3rd floor with blackout curtains, and the building's own quiet hours run from 21:00 to 09:00, but if silence after 22:00 matters more to you than being four minutes from Shibuya Station, this is the wrong apartment.
